Isabella The Fashionista Shih Tzu
Princess Closet
Hey Fashionistas! so Isabella and I had a shoot on Sunday for My Green Gen magazine and I thought I share my experience with those of you who are also mummys to fur babies and get the chance to work with them on set or simply those of you that just love my page and love to read my posts (Smile).
I must emphasize Isabella is very well behaved most of the time and I can swear this has to do with the fact that she thinks she´s human.. but thats another long topic which I will be discussing further on my next blog.
The call start was at 1:30pm... The alarm went of at 10:30, I must admit Im a terrible morning person and sleep is a very important part of my life .... saying this, Isabella is even worse! it took me 15 minutes trying to wake her up! I know 15 minutes!!!!! she was not having it , the struggle was real and after some long negotiation with what seemed to be with a real 5 year old she gave in and made her way to the tub.
I tend to shower her every few weeks sometimes more often that what is apparently good for her, however some how she gets really greasy and starts to look really dirty and scrubby and we simply cannot allow this, anyway so I done her normal routine of shampooing and conditioning her hair followed by an hour of blowdrying and brushing throughout.
Been the princess that she is, it’s not surprise she had to go through all her clothes to find something adequate to be both extremely cute as well as warm.
The theme of the shoot had an African feel to it & we were able to model very beautiful and colourful clothing all going back to African roots.
Isabella absolutely loves to wear clothes as she tends to get really cold most of the time and especially on these very cold winter days so there was no issue in changing and doing fittings.
Two particular worries that I had was the fact that she wanted to do a little look about to familiarise herself with her surroundings and because we were in a close studio I kept worrying she was going to do a pee pee just anywhere. (Thank God she didn’t!) ….Also there was an electric fan heater with really high power setting placed on the floor which could of really burned her if she had of gotten close to it so the photographer , makeup artists ,other models and myself were all in a constant look out to make sure she was nowhere near it… (She was really loved and cared for).
