Happy Saturday!.. I don’t know about you, but I love spending time at home, I think everything starts in the atmosphere & the energy your house holds and your life kind of takes meaning from there, so for me my home and the things it holds are important and essential for my inner peace.
I decided to share some of my favourite decorative pieces that represent me at present as well as other inspired decoration ideas I have come across, I am a big fan of innovating and change , especially when it comes to my home, therefore I'm always looking for new and fresh inspiration.
I'm currently in love with the contrast of the black and white, the colours bring out the elegance and sophistication out of anything and can create a stunning and dramatic décor, the key to using black and white successfully it’s the pretty little details you use to create a space from flat and boring to chic and stylish.
One of my favourite things to play around when decorating , are the cushions of the sofa, I like the look of mix patterns all set together, 5 to 6 different pillows can work as long as there's some common thread that ties two couches together.
Indoor plants are extremely versatile and can be used in numerous different ways to enhance and refresh and room’s décor and setting. Use them to add colour to a room, to create a refreshing and relaxing mood, to purify the air or simply as accent features.
I keep them around my house making sure they get the amount of water they need as well as sunlight to keep them healthy. Change the pot to whatever colour scheme your house has, I keep mine white to fit my theme also white colour pots reflects light/heat so helps insulate plant roots.
Candles are a must have, not only can they smell like heaven. But, they also create romance and a relaxing ethos, No matter where you decide to use candles, they’ll create a warmer, more welcoming environment for yourself and your guests.
Use Candle holders to innovate and give it that extra touch, have a variety of styles spread across your house, not only are they great as centrepieces, candle holders should always be used to prevent fires and damages.
You can never go wrong with big black and white bold frames, this will make a statement in a dull all white plain wall, for a more elegant look print your pictures also in black and white.
There are multiple ways to display black and white photographs, it just depends on the space and whether you prefer a more eclectic and asymmetric presentation.
Pick a style that matches your personality, if you’re anything like me you will find innovation and change is always positive, there are no specific rules when it comes to creating your own personal space unique. If you prefer to stick to one style and design make sure you decide for neutral colours that are less easy to get tired of.
